KegMan products supplies the most reliable portion control systems by Universal Systems and Controls under the USC Sprint brand ID. Each Unit comes with one activator ring which is used to open any bottle with a pourer in place and dispense the amount programmed. These three systems are described below:
USC Sprint 2000 system comes in two models, each capable of seven price categories.
    Model 1702 for $1495.00
The 1702 will interface with printers and cash registers while the basic 1701 unit will not.

To dispense liquor, simply pick up the bottle with its pourer, insert the pourer into the activator ring and pour. The system will identify the pourer and portion to dispense the preset amount of liquid with each tilt of the bottle. The USC SPIRIT can record each pour in one of 3 portion counters and up to seven (7) categories.

Both the 1701 and 1702 will provide 7 price categories and three programmable portion sizes. Each price category (of the seven price categories) is selected by a coded pourer inserted into the bottle. The metal rings on the pourer use a binary counting system, ONE for the top ring, TWO for the second ring, FOUR for the third ring giving a total of 4+2+1 or seven distinct IDs. Using one pourer ID for each price category the number of pourers used is only limited by the number of bottles you have pourers inserted them into.

For example:
  • There are fifteen brands you wish to sell at $4.50 per ounce. Each of these fifteen bottles would be assigned the pourers with have one of the same pourer configuration. For this I would pick fifteen pourers with all three bands (top, middle and bottom).
  • There are eight brands you wish to sell at $4.00 per ounce. Each of these eight bottles would be assigned the pourers with have one of the same pourer configuration. For this I would pick eight pourers with just the middle and bottom bands.
  • There are thirteen brands you wish to sell at $3.50 per ounce. Each of these thirteen bottles would be assigned the pourers with have one of the same pourer configuration. For this I would pick thirteen pourers with just the top and bottom bands.
  • And so on till all three to seven categories are defined.
So before you order you must decide how many categories you need and then how many pourers in each category will you require. Along with the pourers and the 1701 or 1702 you will also need
